There are 5 approaches the IRC has when focusing on aiding people caught in crisis.

Synopsis: The IRC will provide cash assistance in crisis areas through the use of debit card accounts that have no strings attatched, set up careers for people who they have relocated to the united states, and provide job training for reloacated americans. The IRC supports parents in providing persistant beneficial behaviors towards children aged 0-5 and making sure they have pre-primary education. They help schoolaged children who may have missed certain years of school make up in other schools. For young-adults, they provide classes on marketing and budgeting to help them succede in real world scenarios. The IRC will bring doctors and nurses to crisis areas and work to help get rid of certain diseases like: pneumonia, malaria, and malnutrition. The IRC also focuses on creating long-term plans for people with certain diseases like diabetes so they are never without healthcare. The IRC gives positive reproductive healthcare to women and girls as well. When relocating people, the IRC makes sure that these people have a say in where they will be living as well as making sure their rights are respected. The IRC also helps people choose what they would like to do as a career and helps them get where they need to be to be indpendent. The IRC empowers people, specifically women, to advocate for the change they would like to see in their lives. The IRC ensures that women are not in violent relationships and helps prevent men from being violent in relationships. The IRC also focuses on making sure that children are not being sexually exploited. Making sure that students are safe in their classrooms and teaching teachers how to best responds to threats is important to the IRC. The IRC also works to prevent workplace violence.

Help refugees understand their rights and make informed choices. Help victims of conflict get to safer areas and stay safe in communities.
